Making a Donation - Let us count the ways:

Many people support the work that FoodShare does by donating money or in-kind resources or by volunteering--and sometimes by all three.

Approximately 50% of our funding comes from individual donors. (click here for more information on how we are funded). Some of our donors contribute through a monthly pre-authorized chequing plan, others periodically by credit card or cheque.

Some people do what is known as "planned giving", that is leaving the organization a bequest in their will, or making donations to honour friends or relatives on special occasions.

If you would like to send a contribution "in memory of" a relative or friend, please let us know with a covering note so we can appropriately recognize that contribution in your thank you note. This can be done by mail or online.

We are registered with Canadahelps.org, a non-profit, secure online donation site that serves many Canadian charities. Just click above and you will go directly to a page where you can donate to FoodShare.

You will receive an immediate tax receipt via email, and we will receive 100% of your donation (minus credit card fees). We'll send you a note of acknowledgement when we receive the donation from Canadahelps. Thanks for your support!

Donation by cheque or credit card
If you'd prefer to make a donation by cheque or credit card, or to sign up as a monthly pre-authorized chequing donor (that's when a set amount is automatically deducted from your bank account each month), please call Zola Dyer at (416) 363. 6441 ext 229, or email her zola@foodshare.net.

Please indicate whether you would like to receive forms to donate in the mail (provide your address), or whether you would like to receive a telephone call to make a credit card donation, or to get more information.

FoodShare Toronto is a registered Canadian charity. Our  registration number is 10739 2359 RR00001. A charitable tax receipt will be issued for all donations over $5.00 shortly after we receive the donation.
